The Hampton Inn Gallipolis is located on SR 7 just minutes from the local airport. The hotel is next to the Ohio River at the intersection of SR 7 and US 35, just a short drive from Rio Grande. Here you'll find the Bob Evans Farm and Homestead Museum. Rio Grande is also the home of the October Bob Evans Farm Festival and the University of Rio Grande. Just a short drive from the Ohio River is Pt. Pleasant, WV which offers a variety of Farm and Homestead Museums such as John Gee Black Museum, Our House Museum, Pt. Pleasant River Museum, WV State Farm Museum, River Museum and the Waterfront Amphitheater that host several musical events. This is also the area of the Mothman. Just off State Route 7 along the Ohio River Scenic Byway is Pomeroy which plays host to the Big Band Blues Bash, the Annual Goldings and Ribs Festival.
